About Mango Kollektiv. Our story, vision, and social mission.

Mango Story.

Before telling you about our vision and social mission, we’d like to introduce ourselves and shortly tell you about our story. We are Claudia and Danilo and we grew up bilingual, both speaking German and Italian. We met in January 2015 while attending a Dutch language course. That period was a definite turning point in both our lives. I, Claudia, had always worked as a journalist in Switzerland and then decided to come to the Netherlands for new adventures. I, Danilo, had just decided to take my roots in psychology into the world of business.

We both started new lives and worked in companies that focused on the German and other international markets. We noticed that companies literally translated ideas for a new market and spent a lot of money on campaigns that often would not work. That is when we realized that companies did not take enough time to understand the market they wanted to expand to. And that was the moment our vision for Mango Kollektiv started to become clear.

Mango Vision.

Understanding culture is the first step. Building bridges the second. That is precisely what Mango Kollektiv’s mission is about: taking the first steps and bridging the gap.
We believe that doing business in another country needs a deep understanding of language, market, and culture. The world seems to become smaller because of globalization, but if we look at communication and cultural understanding, audiences still engage most with information that is based on their values and their perception of the world. We believe in preserving uniqueness instead of copying and pasting an idea into another culture. If we understand an idea, we can start bridging. No matter what. Our services are built around this idea.

Social Mission.

Every idea is unique because every one of us is one of a kind. Together we enrich our world. Only if we embrace otherness, we will be able to see ourselves and the ones around us. That is why diversity and acceptance for the other are core values for us.
Therefore, it is a natural choice for us to donate 5% of our entire revenue to the Center for Intersectional Justice. The organization strives to make anti-discrimination and equality policy more inclusive and effective in Europe.
